The Alternative Vehicle Management of Greece is a Collective Alternative Management System (S.S.E.D.), approved by the Hellenic Recycling Organization (E.O.A.N.) and is the legal vehicle recycling system in Greece.
AFIS S.A.
Τhe company AFIS S.A. operates as a non-profit organization with the aim of collecting and recycling portable batteries in order to achieve national goals, as provided for by European and Greek Legislation.
Appliances Recycling SA for electronic and electrical equipment (WEEE)
The company’s purpose is alternative WEEE management, i.e. the collection, transport, temporary storage, separation and processing of WEEE and its components, with the ultimate goal of removing environmentally harmful substances and reintegrating usable materials as raw materials in the production of new products.
Ecoelastika
Ecoelastika organizes, on a nationwide basis, the collection of waste vehicle tires from their withdrawal points, where the replacement of used vehicle tires with new ones takes place.
EEAA (Hellenic Recycling Utilization Company)
The Hellenic Packaging Waste Management Authority organizes the Collective Alternative Management System for packaging waste (SSED-RECYCLING) in accordance with Law 2939/01. The national institutional framework is a result of European directives and obliges packaging managers, i.e. companies that place packaged products on the Greek market, to ensure the recycling of their packaging.
