The “AEGEAN RECYCLING INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL SOCIETE ANONYME” with the distinctive title “AEGEAN RECYCLING S.A.” was founded on 4/12/2007 with the decision no. 64808/82/B/07/13 of the Prefect of Lesvos (Issue of Societes Anonymes and Limited Liability Companies – Government Gazette 13881/7.12.2007)

AEGEAN RECYCLING S.A. is a continuation of the company SAMIOTOS BROS. & CO. S.A. which was active in the same area since 1997.

In the first years (1997 – 2001) the installation and setup of the factory took place. During this period, the activity in the field of recycling of metal waste and the production and marketing of folk art items began, which was maintained until 2006. Since that year, the company has accelerated its growth rates with the aim of becoming active in other sectors of recycling. The new goals and obligations that arose from them led to the establishment of AEGEAN RECYCLING S.A.
