Vehicle Withdrawal (De-registration)
The withdrawal of a vehicle, or its permanent de-registration, is the process by which a vehicle is delivered for recycling and permanently removed from the owner’s name, tax records, and the Ministry of Transport’s registry—effectively taken off the road for good.
Aegean Recycling S.A., operates with the official license of the Hellenic Recycling and Recovery Corporation (EDOE), fully complying with European environmental regulations and safety standards.
Our company undertakes the entire process of vehicle collection and de-registration. You don’t have to do anything other than submit the required documents necessary to complete the process. Upon completion, the company will issue you the official certificate of destruction / permanent de-registration.

Car Withdrawal Documents
- Vehicle registration without retention of ownership
- Vehicle plates
- Copy of the owner’s ID card (if the car owner is a foreigner, a copy of the passport and residence permit)
- Change book (in the case of a truck)
- Solemn declaration/Authorization to the company for the vehicle withdrawal process, completed and validated by the vehicle owner at the KEP or at a police station

- Shipping note at the time of vehicle delivery

- Minutes of the Board of Directors regarding the decision to permanently deregister the vehicle

- Temporary immobility The application for permanent deletion must be made to the tax office of the registration license.
- Loss of registration license Owner’s solemn declaration stating the loss of the registration license
- Loss of license plate/plates Owner’s solemn declaration stating the loss of the plates
- Seizure Any debt that has caused the vehicle to be seized must be paid
. - Inheritance In the event that the owner of the vehicle is deceased, acceptance of the inheritance and change of the registration certificate to the names of the heirs must be made.
- Withholding When the car is purchased with a promissory note or loan, the ownership of the vehicle
is withheld and is recorded on the registration certificate as “Withholding of ownership”. In order to lift the withholding, a Solemn Declaration is required from the previous owner clarifying that there is no longer a debt and proceeding with the lifting of the withholding.

The company driver gives you the vehicle receipt form to sign, which is delivered to the EDOE and you can request a copy from the company.
Deletion is completely free.
In this case, the residual value of the car and, by extension, your profit is reduced.
We make sure to keep you informed throughout the car’s cancellation process about the stage we are at and once the cancellation is complete, we will inform you about the issuance of the Final Certificate of Destruction.
